Access resources to aid advocacy efforts during August recess

In district meetings are already taking place with U.S. House members, with more to come as the August recess gets fully underway.  Having lawmakers back home provides credit union advocates with opportunities to meet with key decision-makers and address issues of concern face-to-face in their own communities.

America’s Credit Unions has several messaging resources on the industry’s top issues to assist credit unions in advocacy efforts.

Monday, Community Resource Credit Union (CRCU) hosted a meet and greet with Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, for their members. “CRCU was honored to host Congressman Dan Crenshaw. It was a unique opportunity for our members, as well as the community to meet the congressman, ask questions and hear his perspective on some of the most important issues of the day,” said CRCU President/CEO Russell Ballard.

America’s Credit Unions encourages credit unions to reach out to their state Leagues and the America’s Credit Unions Advocacy Team for assistance in arranging meetings with lawmakers and access to advocacy resources, talking points, one-pagers, and more.
