While Congress is out for the August recess and lawmakers are in their districts, America’s Credit Unions, state Leagues and credit unions are actively engaging with lawmakers and candidates in a variety of ways.
The Democratic National Convention is underway this week in Chicago. Similar to the Republican National Convention earlier this summer in Milwaukee, credit union leaders are on hand to meet directly with lawmakers and keep credit unions top of mind during the election process.
State primary elections continue across the country to determine who will be on the general election ballot in November. Primaries took place Tuesday with America’s Credit Unions PAC and state Leagues supporting credit union-friendly candidates in Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming.
