The NCUA board will vote on two final rules and receive a quarterly update on the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund at its Sept. 19 meeting. The meeting will be livestreamed on NCUA.gov starting at 10 a.m. Eastern.
The complete agenda is:
- Board briefing, share insurance fund quarterly report;
- Final rule, Part 745, Simplification of insurance rules; and
- Final rule, Parts 701, 741, 746, 748, and 752, Fair hiring in banking.
America’s Credit Unions’ legacy organizations supported the simplification of insurance rules proposal, which would establish a new category coverage of funds of both revocable and irrevocable trusts.
America’s Credit Unions also offered several recommendations for the fair hiring proposal in July.
