Who should certify

Credit union board members who are interested in deepening their knowledge and understanding of their role while gaining confidence as credit union leaders.

How to earn

  • Choose and register for the designation training path that best fits your schedule:
    • Become certified in person with your fellow board peers: Board Development Certification School, (registration will open later this year; stay tuned for details or sign up to be notified here.)
      or
      For board members who prefer to learn at their own pace: Certified Credit Union Board Member eSchool (On Demand)
  • Complete the required training and successfully complete the required exam. 

Important exam details

  • Exam instructions are provided with the training. After registration, navigate to the training to view those instructions.
  • The deadline to complete the exam is December 31, 2025.
  • Coming in 2026, new versions of this eSchool will require completing a closed book exam with a score of 80% or more to earn the CCUB designation.
