Compliance team releases 2024 year in review and compliance calendar
With 2024 in the rearview mirror, America’s Credit Unions’ compliance team is providing a recap of the major highlights in the compliance and regulatory space from last year.
The 2024 year in review covers major rulemakings from the NCUA and CFPB, as well as what to expect from these agencies in 2025. The compliance team included lists of the final rules issued by both agencies as well as notable guidance that was released.
The recap also looks ahead to what to expect in 2025, including anticipated rollbacks in regulations, the future of the CFPB, effect of hiring freezes and firings on examinations, as well as waiting for potential action on the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s Customer Due Diligence rule and administration action on digital assets.
The Compliance team has also released the compliance calendar which includes important compliance dates for regulatory rulemaking. The calendar includes dates, brief summaries, and compliance resources for outstanding rulemakings that are in progress as well as a list of pending regulations.
