CrossState president/CEO says effective communication is key to credit union success
The power of credit unions is amplified with strong and effective communication, and CrossState Credit Union Association President/CEO Patrick Conway highlighted its importance as a strategic imperative to credit union success.
In an op-ed for CUInsight, Conway pointed to three key factors ifor credit union success and meaningful connections with members and communities: intention, transparency, and proactive communication.
He outlined several key actions credit unions must take to ensure effective communication:
- Invest in modern communication tools and strategies;
- Strengthen internal messaging to align teams and nurture a culture of engagement;
- Enhance transparency and trust-building efforts to deepen member relationships; and
- Leverage digital platforms to meet evolving member expectations while maintaining personalized service.
“Credit unions thrive on meaningful connections–with members, communities, and policymakers,” Conway said. “Now is the time to embrace innovative communications strategies, invest in new tools, and refine messaging to ensure that the credit union difference is not only heard but truly understood and valued by those you serve.”
