EPA calls for return of GGRF money

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin has called for a pullback of Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) money, saying the agency will terminate its contract with the bank overseeing the fund money and expects the money to be returned to the Department of the Treasury.

The EPA’s decision aligns with the administration’s broader efforts to freeze various funding efforts across federal agencies.

America’s Credit Unions has written in support of credit union inclusion in the GGRF to create more opportunities for credit unions to leverage capital for improvements to their members’ lives.

America’s Credit Unions will keep credit unions updated as details are released.
