External vendor to administer NCUA’s voluntary post-exam survey

The NCUA’s voluntary post-examination survey that’s distributed after a federal credit union’s exam will now be administered by an external vendor. The NCUA shared this update in a Letter to Credit Unions, and the change will begin with federal credit union examinations completed in March. The agency has been using a voluntary post-examination survey since 2021.

NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman noted the survey feedback helps the NCUA evaluate its examination processes. Survey responses will generally not be used on an individual credit union basis, while the NCUA will continue to base its review on aggregate survey data.

CEOs (or equivalent positions) should receive an email approximately two weeks after the completion of an examination with a link to the post-examination survey from NCUA@qualtrics-survey.com. Credit unions have 15 calendar days to submit a voluntary response.

Different iterations of seven to eight questions from the full list of survey questions will rotate among completed examinations.
