FedNow virtual town hall scheduled Wednesday
Credit unions can find out the latest on FedNow’s use, evolution, statistics and other details during a virtual town hall hosted by the Federal Reserve Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Eastern. Agency staff will provide financial industry feedback, and participants will share their experiences.
The free event is scheduled to run for approximately one hour.
According to newly released data for the fourth quarter of 2024, more than 915,000 transactions were settled on the FedNow Service, a 172% increase over the prior quarter. An average of $219 million was settled through the service per day.
A breakout session on the future of faster payments—with a focus on FedNow—is scheduled during the upcoming 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference, taking place March 2 to 5 in Washington, D.C.
