Inclusiv sues EPA for terminating GGRF

In response to the EPA’s attempt to terminate the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), Inclusiv filed litigation seeking relief against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Citibank. Inclusiv is one of five Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) award recipients under the GGRF that have been unable to draw Congressionally allocated funds for several weeks.

“Our decision to take legal action is not only about Inclusiv. This is about protecting the CCIA program and the interests of community lenders, families and small businesses who stand to benefit from the savings the program would provide to them,” said Inclusiv President/CEO Cathie Mahon in a statement.

In February, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin called for a pullback of Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) money, saying the agency will terminate its contract with the bank overseeing the fund money and expects the money to be returned to the Department of the Treasury.
