Two credit union leaders honored with AACUL leadership award
Tennessee Credit Union League President/CEO Fred Robinson and Illinois Credit Union League (ICUL) Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Keith Sias were awarded the 2025 Eugene H. Farley League Leadership Awards by the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) on Saturday, in conjunction with the Governmental Affairs Conference.
The award honors credit union league or association professionals who have demonstrated visionary leadership at the state and national levels.
Robinson has served as president/CEO of the Tennessee Credit Union League since 2012. “Fred’s dedication to the credit union movement and his ability to encourage others, listen collaboratively, share honestly and lead with kindness are admirable,” said AACUL President Brad Miller. “Throughout his years of service to the Tennessee Credit Union League, Fred has stood out among his peers as a leader, collaborator and innovator. His co-creation of the TRGroup is a great example: through this partnership, six state leagues work together and share resources to advance credit unions nationwide.”
With 32 years of service, Sias has dedicated his career to ICUL. “Collaboration is one of Keith’s strongest attributes: advocacy professionals across the League System benefit from his advice and assistance,” said AACUL Vice Chair and MD|DC Credit Union Association President/CEO John Bratsakis. “He shares his experience freely, including openly discussing the challenges he has faced - which is of extreme value to his colleagues. Keith’s ability to bring people together for a common purpose exemplifies the cooperative spirit that is at the heart of the credit union movement.”
