This Week: Nominations continue, member day tax hearing, NCUA and CDFI host webinar
Nominees for cabinet positions are already underway with the new Trump Administration. America’s Credit Unions is reaching out to announced nominees to share credit union priorities that would fall under their purview, and will continue as new nominations occur.
Today, the Senate Budget Committee meets to consider the nomination of Russell T. Vought to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
The House Ways and Means Committee conducts a Member Day hearing Wednesday on tax issues titled: “Member Day Hearing on Matters Within the Committee’s Tax Jurisdiction.”
Member day hearings allow committee members to raise issues they feel are important to the people they represent. The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern.
Also on Wednesday, the House Financial Services Committee holds an organizational meeting for the 119th Congress.
On Thursday, the NCUA and the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund hosts the webinar, “Grant Opportunities from the CDFI Fund.” Online registration is open, and the webinar is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern including a live question-and-answer session.
