This week: Senate confirmations, call report comments due, hurricane relief grant deadline

Senate confirmation votes on Trump administration appointees are ongoing this week, with anticipated floor votes on a new Treasury Secretary and Housing and Urban Development Secretary.

On Wednesday, the comment period closes on an NCUA proposed rule making changes to Call Reports. The public has until 11:59 p.m. to submit comments.

The deadline is looming for low-income credit unions in Florida and Georgia hit by Hurricanes Helene and Milton to apply for urgent need hurricane relief grants. Eligible credit unions have until Friday to NCUA's Office of Credit Union Resources and Expansion. Urgent need grants cover expenses not reimbursable under insurance policies, and range up to $15,000 if affected by both hurricanes, and up to $7,500 if impacted by one .
