This week: America’s Credit Unions keeps industry priorities top-of-mind

This week, the Senate remains in Washington, D.C. while House members are back home in their districts. This gives credit union advocates an opportunity to connect with lawmakers one-on-one to advocate for industry priorities.

In this Tuesday’s primaries, America’s Credit Unions is monitoring elections in Virginia and Oklahoma, where there are eight credit union-backed candidates. America’s Credit Unions PAC is also backing Republican Mike Dugan in the 3rd Congressional district primary in the Georgia runoff election tomorrow.

Credit union-backed candidates have a more than 98% success rate in the 2024 cycle. America’s Credit Unions’ Credit Union Elections Hub is tracking election results from the primaries through the general election.

Also happening this week:

  • Tuesday, the NCUA will hold a webinar highlighting the role of minority depository institutions; and
  • Wednesday, America’s Credit Unions offices will be closed in observance of Juneteenth.
