The CFPB has issued a 31-day extension on the comment period for an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR) to potentially amend the definitions of “identity theft” and “identity theft report” in Regulation V, which implements the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Comments were originally due March 7. America’s Credit Unions will file comments by the April 7 deadline with continued input from members on the ANPR.
