More than 500 credit union leaders volunteer their time to set the direction for Councils. All members are encouraged to serve on committees and run for the Executive Committee.
More than 500 credit union leaders volunteer their time to set the direction for Councils. All members are encouraged to serve on committees and run for the Executive Committee.
The Conference Committee is responsible for the development, implementation and presentation of the Council's annual program. The committee determines the agenda, speakers, roundtable topics, breakout sessions and other activities related to the conference.
Conference Committee work may be divided into subcommittees or task groups focusing on specific aspects of the conference.
12-20 conference calls (60 minutes each). Commitment starts about 8 weeks after the current conference wraps. Much of the work takes place in the five to ten months prior to the conference date.
Create an event that is well attended, achieves high ratings from attendees for content and networking, and meets or exceeds budgeted financial targets.
The Engagement Committee is responsible for maximizing member participation in the Councils Community and promoting use of member resources.
Councils Engagement Committees will be conducted as cross-Council meetings. Individual Council Engagement Committees meet on an as-needed basis.
Conference calls every six weeks (30-45 minutes each). Plan two to four hours per month throughout the year, unless special issues arise.
The Member Resources Committee assists in the development, review and promotion of educational benefits and content for Council members.
Average 2-3 hours per month yearly, including monthly 60-minute conference calls.
The Membership Committee develops strategies and implements tactics related to onboarding, membership involvement, retention, and growth.
Conference calls every six weeks (60 minutes each). Additional time to conduct phone calls, emails and other contacts as determined by the committee, approximately 1-2 hours per month.
Councils Membership Committees will be conducted as cross-Council meetings. Individual Council Membership Committees meet on an as-needed basis.
Council staff provide contact lists and sample message templates for Committee members.
The Sponsorship Committee works to attract and maintain relationships with quality vendors interested in sponsoring the Council at the annual conference. It also seeks ways to increase sponsorship opportunities for partners through the website, webinars and other programs.
6-8 conference calls /year (30-60 minutes each). Additional time to conduct phone calls, emails and other contacts necessary to acquire new and retain existing sponsors.
