Credit Union Management School is your next step towards professional growth and executive leadership positions.
Over three years, attend the credit union movement’s longest-running high-level educational program, led by University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business professors, credit union professionals, and respected industry experts.
Earn the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation, demonstrating the highest aptitude in credit union leadership, after completing three years of Credit Union Management School’s executive education curriculum, which includes exams, projects, and an oral presentation.

Credit Union Management School is an intensive three-year program for credit union professionals committed to an executive career path. Through in-depth coursework, hands-on projects, and direct mentorship from top industry experts and University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty, participants gain vital skills for leadership in the credit union movement. Each year builds on the last, covering critical areas from financial management to strategic planning and leadership development, with take-home projects and presentations that turn learning into practice.

Credit Union Management School was founded with the University of Wisconsin-Madison to help credit unions develop future leaders and a leadership pipeline to their fullest potential. Several regional schools have developed around the country with the same goal in mind.

Due prior to attendance, the Year 2 project helps to translate the purpose of the school into a practical perspective. Then, the week of learning and growth culminates with a multiple-choice exam showcasing your grasp of the material.
Year 2 topics include:

- Asset/Liability Management II
- Executive presentation skills

- NCUF’s Exploring Empathy
- Stanford Bank Game simulation
Due prior to attendance, the Year 3 project involves completing a comprehensive strategic plan for your credit union. Then, the onsite oral presentation presents an issue related to a challenge or opportunity your credit union faced and its outcome. Finally, the week of learning and growth culminates with a multiple-choice exam showcasing your grasp of the material.

Recommended travel dates
Students must arrive in time for program registration and orientation. Registration begins on Saturday, July 12. The school begins on Sunday, July 13.

Campus Housing Package
Live the traditional Credit Union Management School experience and stay in Chadbourne Residence Hall with your fellow peers.
Included in this package:
- One single-occupancy dorm room
- The full Credit Union Management School Program
- Program meals are provided at Chadbourne’s dining hall
- Complimentary shuttles from Dane County Regional Airport
Approximately two months before the program, you will receive an email from UW Housing confirming your dorm room reservation.

No Housing Package
If you do not wish to stay in the residence hall during the duration of the program, choose this housing package. Finding your own housing will be solely your responsibility. Included in this package:
- The full Credit Union Management School program
- Program meals provided at Chadbourne’s dining hall
Shuttle/taxi
Transportation from the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison to the Chadbourne Residence Hall is provided for students staying on campus. Shuttles will run during these hours:
For students arriving on Saturday, July 12, a complimentary shuttle will be available 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT
For students arriving on Sunday, July 13, a complimentary shuttle will be available 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT
Transportation from the airport will not be provided to students staying off campus.
For students arriving at an alternate time or location, or those staying off campus, we recommend utilizing Union Cab (608-242-2000).
