Do you review members’ tax returns to calculate income for consumer loans, small business loans, or mortgage loans? Are the numerous tax forms and schedules overwhelming? If so, this webinar series is designed for you.
This comprehensive three-part course will demystify the various tax forms and explain the key items used to calculate income for self-employed borrowers and members with diverse income sources. You’ll learn about add-backs for non-cash items and identify true cash flow from related entity sources.
Gain the confidence to accurately interpret the financial picture presented by tax returns, enabling you to better assess a member’s or applicant’s income and financial condition. Attend all three live sessions or watch the recordings at your convenience, as each session builds upon the previous one.

Schedule

We begin by reviewing Federal Tax Form 1040, as well as Schedules A, B, C, & D. You will learn the purpose of each form and which information is necessary to calculate income when the business schedules are used.

Next, we will continue our review of Federal Tax Form 1040, and look at more schedules and tax statements, including Schedules E, F, K-1 Statements and W2 Statements. You will learn the purpose of each form and which information is necessary to calculate income when the business schedules are used.

We conclude by focusing on specific tax forms used by certain types of entities and businesses. We will explain Federal Tax Form 1065, 1120 & 1120S, and 990. You will learn about various entity types and which forms are filed by each entity along with where to locate pertinent information for calculation of income within these various tax forms.
